About 24 Hour Charity Dinghy Race
The Hebe Haven Yacht Club is excited to announce that we will be hosting the 24-Hour Charity Dinghy Race on 25 – 26 October 2025. Please save the dates! This unique event will span two days, featuring a series of entertainment, interactive village activities, and food and beverage booths at our boatyard, culminating in our must-not-miss 24 hours of non-stop racing to raise funds for local charities. Over the past 21 editions, the race has raised more than HK$13.4 million for local organizations, including the Children’s Cancer Foundation, TREATS, IDEAL, Sai Kung District Community Centre, and Sailability Hong Kong.
The Village
The onshore race village is a vibrant part of the event. Throughout the weekend, there is live music and entertainment for all the family, a market, charity stalls and children’s game zones. You can also sit back relax grab a bite to eat and drink all whilst watching the race and soaking up the carnival atmosphere.
The Race
Sailors of all ages compete in teams. Teams include schools, community & social groups, charities, and international teams. The teams race to complete the most laps in 24 hours around a 1.2 km course in the beautiful waters right outside Hebe Haven Yacht Club.
The Course
The rectangular course runs along the south pontoon of Hebe Haven Yacht Club, out close to the Hebe Haven cardinal mark, and back to the marina pontoons. The race starts in full view of everyone at the Club, from the committee boat anchored just offshore. (Sailors can obtain full details in the Notice of Race).
We welcome everyone, including club members of HHYC, associated yachting clubs, business partners, the community, and the general public to share the fun of sailing at this picturesque location at Pak Sha Wan while supporting charitable organisations.
We look forward to seeing you all on Saturday & Sunday 25-26 October 2025
