Safety Boat driver & assistant 求生艇駕駛
PVOL Level II required
Experience driving safety boats for dinghy rescue highly preferred.
-Patrolling around the race course
-Each safety boat carries a minimum of one helm and one crew
-4 to 5 safety boats running during the event (2-3 hours per shift)
-Training on dinghy rescue will be provided
-All volunteers must attend a briefing session before the event
Race Office Desk 賽事辦公
PVOL Level II required
Experience driving safety boats for dinghy rescue highly preferred.
-Team and crew registration
-Maintain the Official Notice Board for the race.
-Assist with team check-in and issue stamp/ wrist bands
-Maintain and check lap lists intermittently for team captains' sign-off
-Keep protest forms, lists of emergency numbers, official race phone
-Issue life jackets
-Act as first point of contact to race teams and volunteers
-Coordination of Emergency response
Dock Marshall 船員換人區管理
Welcome anyone
-Control the dock area where sailors access their dinghies and carry out respective crew changes
-Assist the race juries (on-the-water observers) when penalties are given to dinghy crew
On-the-water Umpiring 水上赛判
Trained race judge preferred
Familiar with Rule 42
Ensure sailors of the event observe the rules of sailing racing, sailing instructions and sportsmanship during the event
Lap Counting 比赛計圈
Welcome anyone
-Recording boats passing through gate
-Publish the interim lap result report every 6 hours
-Normally 3 hours per shift, 6-8 volunteers each
